Reino Unido plantea sus preocupaciones sobre las recientes acciones
del gobierno Británico en contra del gobierno legítimo de Venezuela
y las personas que lo eligieron.

Como
ciudadana Venezolana Británica, este tema de la retención del oro
venezolano y la proclamación de un presidente para Venezuela que no
fue elegido por su pueblo plantea muchas preocupaciones. Estas
preocupaciones deben ser abordadas por el gobierno porque son temas
muy peligrosos para la cordura del marco legal y las instituciones de
este país y para la paz futura en el resto del mundo.....
¿Tiene
el gabinete de gobierno de Boris Johnson bases legales
constitucionales para usar la Corte Suprema de Inglaterra para
decidir quién es un gobierno constitucional legítimo o no en un
país extranjero? Cómo lo está haciendo con el país soberano e
independiente de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela.
¿Es
suficiente el deseo del gobierno de apoyar al Banco de Inglaterra en
la retención de 31 toneladas de oro venezolano por valor de más de
mil millones de dólares para crear un precedente peligroso en contra
del derecho internacional y los artículos de la carta de Derechos
Humanos de libertad y derecho a la soberanía de las naciones e
individuos?
Sería
muy apreciado si el gobierno explicara a sus ciudadanos cuáles son
las bases para hacer esto y cómo esto beneficia a este país y al
resto del mundo. Si es el caso de que el gobierno lo está haciendo
en beneficio de la humanidad y en beneficio de las personas que lo
eligieron para servirlos, debe explicarse para nuestro beneficio y
para el beneficio del gobierno.
El oro
de Venezuela con un valor superior a los US $ 1.000mn se depositó en
el Banco de Inglaterra para su custodia por un aliado y socio de
confianza en ese momento. El Banco de Inglaterra tomó la decisión
de bloquear el acceso a él en el 2018. La decisión fue tomada a
pedido del gobierno de los EE. UU. Como parte de sus esfuerzos para
socavar el gobierno venezolano.
En ese
momento Guaidó no se había proclamado "presidente de
Venezuela" y, por lo tanto, el Reino Unido no lo había
reconocido como tal. En su libro recientemente publicado, John Bolton
explica cómo el entonces Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores Británico,
Jeremy Hunt, estaba "encantado de cooperar" con los
esfuerzos de "cambio de régimen" de Washington contra
Venezuela, mencionando específicamente el congelamiento de las
reservas de oro de Venezuela en el Banco de Inglaterra.
El
hecho de que la Corte Suprema del Reino Unido cita el reconocimiento
por el Reino Unido de Juan Guaidó como la razón para bloquear el
acceso al oro es una falsedad. El gobierno del Reino Unido ha
reconocido formalmente a Guaidó como "presidente interino",
pero mantiene relaciones consulares y diplomáticas con Venezuela y
su gobierno legítimo. Hay un embajador Venezolano en Londres y un
embajador Británico en Caracas.

As
a British Venezuelan citizen this issue of the withholding of the
Venezuelan gold and proclaiming a president for Venezuela that was
not elected by its people raises a lot of concerns. These concerns
need to be addressed by the government because they are very
dangerous issues for the sanity of the legal frame and institutions
of this country and for the future peace in the rest of the
world.,,,,
Does
the Cabinet office of Boris Johnson have constitutional lawful basis
to use the Supreme Court of England to decide who is a legitimate
constitutional government or not in a foreign country?. As it is
doing with the sovereign and independent country of the Bolivarian
Republic of Venezuela.
Does
the desire of the government to support the Bank of England on the
withholding of 31 tons of Venezuelan gold worth more than a billion
US dollars suffice to create such as dangerous precedent in the
potential braking of international law and the human rights charters
of freedom and sovereignty of nations and individuals?
It
would be most appreciated If the government would explain to its
citizen what are its basis for doing this and how this benefits this
country and the rest of the world. If it is the case that the
government is doing it for the benefit of humanity and for the
benefit of the people that elected it to serve them, it should be
explained for our benefit and for the government's benefit.
The
gold worth over US$ 1bn was deposited in the Bank of England for
safekeeping by a trusted ally and partner at the time. The Bank of
England took the decision to block access to it in 2018. The decision
was taken at the request of the US government as part of its efforts
to undermine the Venezuelan government.
At that
time Guaidó had not proclaimed himself “president of Venezuela ”
and therefore the UK had not recognized him as such. In his recently
published book, John Bolton explains how the then British Foreign
Minister, Jeremy Hunt, was “delighted to cooperate” with
Washington’s “regime change” efforts against Venezuela,
specifically mentioning the freezing of Venezuela’s gold reserves
at the Bank of England.
The fact
that the UK High Court cites the UK government’s recognition of
Juan Guaidó as the reason for blocking access to the gold is
farcical. The UK government has formally recognized Guaidó as
“interim president”, but maintains full consular and diplomatic
relations with Venezuela and its legitimate government. There is a
Venezuelan ambassador in London and a British ambassador in Caracas.
